Rachel started her studies in business and finished off a bachelor degree in 2013. During her studies she exercised consistently which helped her to reduce stress and keep a balanced lifestyle. Her own positive experience with training is what drove her to want to help others achieve the same life balance and gain strength and fitness.
So in 2016 she studied her certificate in Personal Training at the New Zealand Institute of Health and Fitness and has been working as a personal trainer since. She comes to FORM from Plant Physique where she worked for 5 years as a personal trainer and also spent some time as Studio Manager. She is a quick thinker and is used to working with people of all ages and abilities. Rachel has run countless small group personal training sessions and loves the challenge of working with a variety of people and rising to the occasion when they all come in with different niggles for a group training session.
Rachel enjoys engaging one on one with clients to help them achieve their ideal lifestyle, creating a balance between functional fitness and overall wellbeing. She loves to get outdoors and keeps herself strong and fit with hiking, running, surfing and climbing. Her own strength training has not only helped her better her performance in these activities but also helped reduce injury and increase recovery.
Rachel enjoys working with all types of clients as she believes the more diverse her client base is the more she can grow as a Personal Trainer and the better she can help each individual. She has been working a lot with Strength and Conditioning over the last couple of years, also including mobility training into their exercise regime to help her clients recover and regain strength after injury.
